I am going to this.
I have never been to Germany. Trevor has been three times. The first time he went to Germany it was to attend Bauma 2002. He was gearing up to take over as GM for NWT Rock. He promised that when he went back we would go together.
Well he has since had two more trips and I never got to go. Last summer we had lunch with his former boss. He is now the Canadian Rep for Interoc Drills. He informs us that he is arranging to fly the two guys left at NWT Rock and their wives over to Germany for Bauma in April. Ouch that hurt. When Trev was with the company there was no way I got to go and now my friends were getting to go.
Since the summer alot has happened at the “Rock” and I know one of those guys is no longer there. Sometime before Christmas Trevor phoned me to say he had heard from said former boss. It would seem he was making arrangements to fly the both of us over there for the show.
Cool.
He called the other day to confirm.
Even cooler.
Tomorrow I will head to Saskatoon to take my newly signed passport application, passport photos and ID (Thanks Randall) and try to get everything in order because apparently in 94 days we are going to Germany.
